Fish shoal

A fish shoal is composed of member of the same race. A fish shoal is sometime called fish or shoal in the game.

The number of fish shoal a player can command is limited to 300. the size of the groups has no limitation, but it depend on the surrounding condition. As long as a group can feed, it's size increased. So it's size depend on the environment.

Life of a shoal

The life of a shoal is limited by a index, which represent the life duration of the shoal. At the creation a fish shoal has a life duration of 120. when the population of the shoal drop under a certain level, the life duration index decrease at the rate of 1 point per tick. When it reach 0 the group dies.

Split

A shoal can be split in two to give birth to a new shoal. The new group inherit of all the characteristic of it's father.
The maximum number of splits a group can make is contained between 5 and 10. this number is randomly determined at the creation of the shoal and is unknown to the player. When a shoal is split, the maximum number of split of the new shoal isn't copied from the father's shoal, it is again randomly determined. After the division, a group must wait 10 tick before being able to split again.

When you arrive in a new lake, the time to wait for the split is increased by 7, your fishes are exhausted by the travel and want to stay together in there new environment.

Le Spawning Bed

The Spawning Bed (or SB) enable you to keep population in order to redistribute it after to your shoals. A taxes of 30% is taken on the population on each exchange between a shoal and the SB. Exchange with the SB are impossible when the group is at the bottom of the lake.
Randomly a bonus, called Bingo, add fishes to your SB if you click on it.

Exchange with the bases

Les échange de populations avec une base se font uniquement si le groupe se trouve dans le cube de celle ci. Lors d'un échange avec une base, aucune taxe n'est prélevée sur la population. Le groupe ainsi que les poissons se trouvant dans la base et avec lesquels on souhaite faire un échange doivent être de même race. Si le groupe se trouve dans un cube du fond du lac dans lequel il n'y a encore aucune base, c'est en exercant un premier échange qu'une base va se créer.

Echange entre groupes

Des groupes de même race peuvent échanger de la population. Pour ce faire, il faut que les deux groupes entre lesquels le joueur souhaite faire des transferts de population soient dans le même cube. Dans ce cas, une taxe de 15% est prélevée sur la population.

Battles

If one or more shoal encounter one or more shoal of another alliance and not declared as enemy, a battle start automatically. The shoals are immobilized as long as there are two or more different alliance in the cube. On each tick the shoals fight each other and the shoals of the dominant side gain one in strength, the shoals of the losing side lost one point in strength.

 

Sonar

Each shoal as a sonar that enable it to see everything around him, and so enable him to know the depth of the lake around him, the nearby bases, where are available resources, and friend and foes fish shoal around him.
On default a shoal can see at a distance of 2 cubes around him. When it's strength reach 50, it can see at 3 cubes of distance, and when it reach 100 it can see at 4 cubes around him.

Note

Each shoal as a note field that enable you to note anything on the shoal, such as what is it's destination, why is he going there etc… the note is pointed out by the presence of this icon

Auto Move

The Auto Move option make your fish shoal move randomly without stopping. When the shoal is blocked, a new destination is determined and the shoal restart moving.
